Brasserie le Grand Escalier

Brasserie le Grand Escalier is a nice and cozy place to get some homemade-style cuisine. Reminiscent of an American diner, the specials change every day, and you can sit at cushioned booths while you enjoy the dinner or people-watch out the large windows. The restaurant is located right next to the train station, so it's a great spot to hit before or after a train ride. The service is friendly and accommodating with very reasonable prices. Check this place out for a laid back meal.

La Samaritaine

Just like Paris's renowned Café de Flore, La Samaritaine - situated on the corner of the Vieux-Port at the lower end of Rue de la République - has managed to hold onto its old-fashioned charm. And it's easy to see why, with its 1930s-style décor, deliciously light, traditional cuisine, piano bar and fabulous terrace looking out over the boats moored in the harbor making it the perfect rendezvous, no matter what time of day. The bar closes at 8:30 pm generally, but is open until midnight during the summer months.

Le Massena

Le Massena is a typical Mediterranean venue with loads of fresh sea food and fairly huge portions. You don't have to wait for more than 20 minutes to get your delicious order. The garlic-flavored fish soup and the stewed monkfish with lemon sauce are a must-try, not to forget the bouillabaisse—the most expensive but the best item on the menu. The staff is well-trained and efficient in providing the best service. Moreover, the atmosphere adds a bit of excitement because of its red-and-white color theme and huge windows which look over the busy square and the beautiful fountain.

Nomad Café

The Nomad'Café offers a wide variety of coffees and teas from the Mediterranean area accompanied by delicious pastries. Periodic concerts in the evening make this a fun destination after dark. The prime aim of the tea-room at this establishment is to offer a meeting ground for people belonging to different backgrounds. So if you love mingling and interacting with people, make sure you plan a visit to Nomad' Café soon.
