Museo Evita Restaurant

Dining in the Museo Evita Restaurant & Bar is to experience echoes of the elegant, antique petit hotels prevalent in Buenos Aires' history. This lovely restaurant is set in a vintage mansion that now also houses the Evita Museum. Intimate indoor dining is enjoyed surrounded by potted plants and artwork. The great outdoor patio is enclosed by an ironwork fence, contains lots of greenery and features an outdoor crepe chef. Classic black and white checkerboard floors stylishly unify the interior and exterior. The menu is decidedly Italian-Porteno. The gourmet menu is complete with a variety of crepes, quiches, potato omelets, pastas, meat, fish and pastries.

Puerto Sorrento

A menu comprising of dishes from various corners of the world, Puerto Sorrento is a great option for those who are fussy about their food. Seafood delicacies like Lobsters, exotic dishes like Frog Legs and classic ones like mackerels and paella are on the menu here—you name it, and they have got it. Owing to the quick service of the flavorful fare, business lunches are also quite popular here. At noon, Puerto Sorrento also offers Executive menus at a fixed price along with wine.

Cabaña Las Lilas

An original alternative within the scope of barbecue-style restaurants. This is a top quality steak house, impeccable in every sense. Located in the modern complex of Puerto Madero (a recent dock-side development), it has a cutting edge, end of the 20th Century style. The clientele often comprises an elegant and relaxed crowd. Specializing in offal and grilled sweetbreads, this restaurant is the flavored choice for tourists and Argentineans living abroad, who come back dreaming of a characteristic Argentine barbecue. Recommendations are barbecued pork ribs with potatoes au gratin; isla flotante (exotic dessert) and tiramisu. The decoration is a plain country style. The excellent fillet steaks are proof of the high quality meat they are known for, having bred their own cattle for several years.

Kansas Grill & Bar

Facing the most beautiful avenue in Buenos Aires and backed up onto the racetrack located right in the middle of the city, the restaurant has great views wherever you sit. Indoor seating can be enjoyed either at large tables, the American-style booths or at the roomy bar. Quiet outdoor seating is also available in a private patio under large trees. Since there always seems to be a line waiting to enjoy the contemporary American cuisine complete with an open kitchen, it's best to eat early. The portions are large and the menu includes classic American complex salads with several varieties of dressings, club sandwiches and real barbeque ribs complete with coleslaw.

Muelle del Plata

Muelle del Plata is unique in many senses. But the most important one is that it has the best view in the city. It is set in the Club de Pescadores (Fishermen Club) which is a hundred meters away from the shore into the river! The club/restaurant is a replica of a manor in Belgium and the pier was for many decades the longest in Latin America. There is no better experience than having lunch on a sunny spring weekend on their wonderful terrace as you see the boats. Chef Carlos Godoy is probably one of the best in town too. Ask for any of his fish dishes like Langostinos Crocantes, Merluza Negra, or if the weather is a little bit colder Cazuela. Also highly recommended are any of their spectacular white wines.
