A Cologne landmark since the year 1978, Traub & Sohn remains famous as a leading dealer of antique jewels, apart from stocking up a stirring collection of dainty jewelry items like studded rings, wedding bands and neck-pieces. Vintage watches, pearls, restored silverware and other time-honored antiques are also sold here. The skilled jewelers also auction old jewels passed down from from one generation to another.
The Flohmarkthalle Köln is right next to the Lupe 2 cinema, on Mauritiussteinweg. As you enter the shop, you'll see it's not really a market hall, though the longer you look around you begin to notice that it's not small, either, with 300 square meters of space. For a moment it seems like it could be someone's home, with sofas and matching tables, the coffee service all set out. The music could encourage you to sit down and make yourself comfortable, but there's so much to see! Plates from the old days, book upon book, record players, records and CDs, kitchen furniture, clothes, pictures and, and, and. The prices vary, though nearly everything is a deal. Glasses cost between two and five marks, and there are usually whole sets.
Spread across an area of 800 square meters (8611.13 square feet), Antik Acente features an enthralling collection of vintage furniture and other antiques in an inviting setting. Be it those beautiful Art Deco lamps, hardwood dressers and handcrafted decorative accents, Antik Acente has a varied display of wonderfully restored pieces. Furniture items here date back to iconic eras like Baroque, Art Nouveau and Art Deco, while they also carry an equally exciting line of modern movables.
This gem of an antique shop on the outskirts of the Ehrenfeld district is a cavernous but light-filled hall of vintage and designer shabby chic furniture. The store, which is in a warehouse like building hidden off of Fröbelplatz, is a great place to find vintage items like old record players, farmhouse tables, old lamps and chests, and other items. In addition to the furniture, there is also a textile shop selling all kinds of fabrics, and a little table-top bar where visitors can have a glass of wine or cup of coffee before they search for the perfect piece of furniture to bring home.
The Antik Depot is a storehouse brimming with antique furniture and other items, sometimes stacked several pieces high. Visitors walking through the store will find hallways full of antiques from all styles and time periods, and plenty of opportunities for treasure and bargain hunting. While the store will not win any points for careful curation of its wares, it does provide a wide variety of collections from estate sale purchases, such as paintings, china, jewelry, and lighting.
