The Citi Pond is located at Bryant Park. It has a skating rink that can hold 500 people, a skating pavilion that has multi-purpose facilities, a party room, and a cafe that provides a scenic rink view. The pond is, in fact, the centerpiece of the park during the winter. There are shows, parties, events, activities, restaurants and holiday shops.
Bryant Park transforms into a winter wonderland every year, with the Bank of America Winter Village ice skating rink providing the busy inhabitants of New York with some much needed winter recreation. Entry to the rink is free, while skates and other amenities and services are available at a low rate. One can see everyone from tourists, families with kids, groups of youngsters, as well as couples having a good time at the rink, with skating lessons being offered here as well. If the skating has you too tired, relax with a hot beverage outside the rink area.
Located within the sprawling confines of the Central Park, the outdoor Wollman Rink is one of the city's premier ice skating spots. Opened in 1949, this rink has drawn native New Yorkers and travelers from around the globe to partake in a city tradition. The atmosphere is fun and relaxed, and amateurs are certainly welcome. Try and visit on the weekdays, as the weekends bring large crowds and lines. Skate rentals and lockers are available and the snack bar beats the in-between hunger pangs. During the off-season, the space becomes a roller rink or hosts events.
Lace up your skates for a day on the ice at this 17,000 square-foot pavilion. Let your hair down at this huge skating rink as you practice your moves. Abe Stark Rink gets a good crowd, but there is plenty of room for anyone who wants to join in the fun. Don't worry if you don't have the required equipment, it can always be hired on-site. The rink is seasonal so check the website for open season.
