The premise behind this upscale store is simple: sophisticated fashion that allows the wearer to express their individual style. Looks are classic, yet hip and contemporary. Designer lines of shoes, clothing and accessories include Diesel, BCBG, Jill Stuart, Vivienne Tam, Theory and Kate Spade. By George, what a lovely place to shop!
Stepping into this small shop is like being in the dressing room for a fashion shoot. These are extremely stylish clothes for younger by some well known designers. The style is street-skate-surf-retro-smooth, not every guy can pull it off, but those who can, wear it well. Designers include Sundek, B.D. Baggies, Havaiana, Fullum & Holt, Ray Ban, Levi's and more. Mixed in with the cool threads are all kinds of accessories that will complete the look.
Stag has captured the eye of men's magazines (GQ, etc.), and for good reason: it's about more than just the apparel and accessories for sale. The store caters to a specific demographic of men--those that are transitioning from undergraduate education to the professional realm, and those that are wanting to stay young and hip, but stylish. Among other things, vintage books (such as a collection of Dennis Hopper photographs from the 1960s), retro posters (like Farrah Fawcett's famous red bathing suit photo), and home decor (rum scented candles, for example) are up for grabs.
This locally owned store features upscale and custom men's clothing and accessories. Designer lines include Corneliani, Pal Zileri, Bally Shoes and the popular Vestimenta. Three on-staff master tailors, each with over 25 years of experience, produce one-of-a-kind shirts, trousers, sport coats and suits from an inventory of more than 1,200 high-quality fabrics. The tailors will even come to your office for fittings! The shop has also expanded the inventory to include sportswear along with its more formal daily and evening wear.
It seems like there are more clothing stores for women than for men. When you finally find a shop that offers goods for both sexes, the women's selection appears to be wide and diverse. Thankfully, this is not so at New BROhemia on South First. This vintage store is dedicated to the "fellas", first and foremost. It has a plethora of hip button-down shirts, funky pearl snaps, Boy Scout uniforms, pants, sunglasses, boots, jewelery, and warm-ups, amongst other things. GQ was right to feature this shop on its list of "The Top 25 Vintage Stores in America", and you will not be able to resist browsing the sale racks at the very front of the store.
