Don't let the name fool you, you can't buy buckles or boots here, but you certainly should wear them when you come. A good-looking Stetson hat wouldn't hurt either. Robert's Western World is a Nashville country music legend and its popularity has revitalized the entire Broadway area. Crowded, smoke-filled and always noisy, this traditional honky tonk offers a cramped floor for two-stepping with your sweetheart and plenty of tables to relax with the coldest beer around, but be forewarned there is no line dancing here. Its strictly 21 years and over after 10p.
Oh sure, you'll find a pool table and a few dart boards here. You can even find a lonely table in the corner to read, meditate or contemplate the meaning of life. But here at the Beer Sellar it's all about nature's perfect nectar. Happy hour lasts all day on Sunday. The Sellar serves up a solid fare of sandwiches and chips.
Founded by friends Robyn and Bailey in an effort to deliver innovative beers, the Jackalope Brewing Company launched its brewery and associated taproom in May 2011. While the brewery offers guided tours every Saturday, the taproom is a fun space where patrons can taste fresh seasonal and year-round brews. Some of the specialties of Jackalope Brewing Company include the Thunder Ann American Pale Ale, Rompo Red Eye Ale and the Leghorn Rye India Pale Ale. Alongside sampling of the beers, guests can also engage in some spontaneous trivia revelry, held every Thursday night.
Blackstone is a great choice for casual dining with a group of friends. The pizzas here are of the build-your-own variety with ample amounts of vegetables, meats and cheeses, and your choice of crust. The real draw is the beer. All varieties are brewed on-site and include something for everyone, lager, ale, pilsner, stout, pale, you name it, they brew it.
Possibly the city's oldest watering hole, Springwater Supper Club & Lounge has been here so long that the current owner does not even know when it was first built. Just be glad it was, because there's no place like it in town. Nothing fancy about the interior, which consists of a large room with a good stage and bar. The crowd is interesting most nights, but not nearly as interesting as the music. Bands, from country to punk rock, take the stage every weekend. There is never a cover charge nor a dull moment here.
In the mood to gorge on delicious food and wash it down with great beer? Visit the 12 South Taproom & Grill. Starters like herbed chicken wings or spicy shrimp and pita will whet your appetite. Healthy salads are also served. If you're in the mood for even more, grab one of their special burgers or 'veggie suprema sandwich'. They also have a large selection of Mexican specialties like tacos, burritos and quesadillas. Complete the meal with a delicious dessert. Be it Miller Lite or Sweetwater, they stock extensive varieties of beer.
Located in East Nashville's Riverside Village area, Village Pub & Beer Garden is a popular community meeting spot. Whether you're here for a bite to eat, to watch the latest game or to begin your evening out, this multi-faceted pub will exceed your expectations. The wrap-around porch is open all year long, perfect for enjoying that cold pint on a brisk autumn afternoon. The fireplace, large windows and vaulted ceilings add a sense of warmth. And with cuisine like the sausage stuffed pretzel sandwich and homemade confit bruschetta, its easy to see why the locals tend to stick around.
