This mall has a nice selection of antique furniture, silver tea sets, jewelry and the usual items found in antique malls, but some of the newer items are of equal interest. Palladio is, for example, the exclusive Memphis-area dealer of those charming Gault miniatures of Parisian and provincial French buildings. Join the mailing list and the store will let you know when new shipments come in. Shipping is available, with free delivery in the Memphis area. Located inside the shop, Café Palladio offers sandwiches, soups and salads. Lunch is served Monday through Saturday from 11a-4p, and the café can also be booked for private parties.
Whether you're looking for a poodle skirt from the 1950s or a lava lamp from the 1970s, this exciting shop is the place to start. Both kitsch and designer goods from the past century are featured in this store, which stands by itself on Central Avenue near the Mid-South Fairgrounds. The best finds at Flashback are the European Deco items from the first half of the 1900s. You really never know what you might find, and that's a lot of the fun.
A long narrow shop in an old strip mall, Chip-N-Dale's Antiques is the kind of place for treasure hunters to spend an afternoon. No particular theme can be discerned for most of the booths—any sort of antique might be found. A lot of furniture, old photographs and prints, and a few small tapestries can be found. Several booth spaces have religious prints. One display cabinet features a collection of swords and others have folding cameras dating back to the early twentieth century. Although the shop is not brightly lit, it has roomy enough aisles to move about and get a good look at the merchandise.
