Württemberg State Museum

The art chamber, historically the core of Landesmuseum Württemberg, dates back to the 16th Century when dukes of Württemberg collected anything rare, precious, or unusual. The royal house of Württemberg is represented here by the crown and by many other curios. In addition to the exhibits on display, the collection offers a glimpse into the bygone lives. There are different interesting areas within the palace, too, to explore and marvel at.

Haus der Geschichte Baden-Württemberg

Haus der Geschichte Baden-Württemberg offers a variety of different themes for its visitors to explore. Here, you can trace the history of South and West Germany since Napoleon's era. The rooms in the museum are chronologically and thematically arranged. It also organizes educational programs for tourists and guided tours for kids. The museum has a nationwide collection of historical photo archives.

Hegel House

A prominent person from Stuttgart, Hegel had an impact all over with his great philosophical thoughts. This is the house where the philosopher Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel was born on 27th August 1770. Hegel lived in Stuttgart until 1788 and died in Berlin in 1831. Since the 19th Century the house, which survived the war undamaged, has held all kinds of articles which bring the memories of Hegel's life.

Theodor Heuss House

Theodor Heuss was the Federal Republic of Germany's first president. After completing his second period of office, he retired in the autumn of 1959 to a small detached house on Stuttgart's Killesberg. There he breathed his last on December 12th, 1963. The house now showcases permanent and temporary exhibitions of different types. They organize guided, group, and special tours as well. Worth a visit to know the country's history well.

Mercedes Benz Museum

Located in the city which is called home by Mercedes Benz, the Mercedes Benz Museum is a spectacular tribute to one of the leading car brands of the world. A narrative of over a century of the brand's history, the museum was established in the year 2006. Designed by UN Studio, the design of the building is uniquely reminiscent of a double helix (human DNA), with the atrium inspired by the shape of Wankel Engine. Exhibiting over 160 vehicles, the museum displays some of the most treasured pieces of automotive history in the form of vintage cars. A paradise for car and automobile lovers, the museum's glass facade is the epitome of modern elegance.

Museum of Viniculture

Stuttgart's Viniculture Museum is popular with connoisseurs and lovers of fine wine. The community has a tradition of wine growing that goes back more than 750 years. Stadtmuseum Tübingen

Neslted in the old town, Stadtmuseum Tübingen is a fabulous place for the entire family. Set in a former granary that dates back to 1453, the museum opened its doors in 1991. Spread across four floors, it offers a glimpse of the city's history right from its inception till today. The city exhibits are located on the second and third floor, and are arranged chronologically with special emphasis on the 19th and 20th Centuries. You will find objects, archives, relics and more in the collection. The immensely popular Lotte Reiniger's - A World of Light and Shadow exhibition is an ode to this acclaimed German film-maker, who was among the first to use silhouette animation. This permanent display on the first floor is considered to be the largest of this artist in the world and also a fascinating one. You will also find the temporary exhibits in the ground floor interesting, as it covers the economical and cultural growth of Tübingen which includes artists and celebrities. Apart from all these, this museum offers fun workshops for kids and teens, pop-up art shows, pottery workshops for adults and more.
