Expect a whiskey experience like no other at Johnnie Walker House, one of the biggest bars of the premium brand in the world. The second outpost in China, this high-end whiskey bar will feel like you've walked into the lap of luxury. Whiskey connoisseurs will be enthralled by their rare blends, customized versions and fusion pairings, that will surely take drinking this distilled beverage to a notch higher or probably more. With contemporary decor, earth-colored walls, and hints of the Johnnie Walker brand's historic past, this handsome bar is certainly impressive. Head downstairs to admire the 10000 copper pipes on the ceiling, this impressive display is supposed to simulate a distillery, then sit on a posh sofa and enjoy sipping on a glass of whiskey.

Zhang Yi Yuan Tea House

This tea shop, which dates back to the final years of the Qing Dynasty, is located on one of Beijing's most historical and interesting shopping streets, Da Zha Lan Alley. It deals in over 200 types of tea, with prices ranging between tens and hundreds of renminbi for a few grams. They have green tea, black tea, chrysanthemum tea, herbal tea, and Oolong tea. You will find a tea for every occasion and a few more types to spare. It is worth visiting just for the sights and smells.

Loveshine Bar

Loveshine Bar is a Chinese place with a Western touch. It is just in front of Houhai Lake, on a quiet street full of trees that doesn't see much traffic. People walk by or ride bikes, and the area is very friendly and calm. The bar itself is cozy and welcoming, decorated in a very particular fashion that welcomes couples, with beautiful curtains, flowers and great sofas on which to relax. The prices are perfectly affordable, and the cafe offers great service and good snacks. The waiters speak a little English and are always ready to help. A gamer's paradise, this unique bar offers up classic video games and beer. Piling on the nostalgia, patrons will find everything from Mario Kart, Mortal Kombat, to Street Fighter II. Remember that old trick of blowing on the game cartridges? Well you'll have to do it all over again while listening to the background music of old school 1980's and 90's pop music. The beer on tap offers favorites like Blue Moon, Vedette, Duvel and many other international brands.

This trendy lounge and nightclub is understated and classy with dim bare pendant lighting and cushy sofas. The Ink Club hosts a bevvy of patrons each and every night in its spacious establishment. The DJ booth features widescreen visuals and the music can be heard thumping through the crystal clear audio equipment. Cocktails are strong and inventive, and the House music will make you want to get out on the dance floor.

Jing-A Brewing Taproom

This popular bar offers 16 rotating beers on tap in the 1949 The Hidden City shopping center. Trendy and a favorite among Beijing denizens and visitors alike, the Jing-A Brewing Taproom is on the forefront of brewing in the city. Exposed brick walls, bare bulb dangling lights, and a jovial atmosphere fill the spacious room almost every night. Owners Kris and Alex wanted to produce an American-like, hoppy IPA which turned into the opening of the taproom and the distribution of their brews. Find their very first brew, "Hoppy New Year", along with a variety of others that range from Candied Pumpkin Ale to Black Velvet Stout to quench your thirst.
