Opened in 18th Century, Folkets Park is a lush green park situated in the heart of the city. Quiet and spacious, this park is home to a lot of events like karaoke competitions, outdoor concerts, flea market and other live performances. This park is extremely child friendly and is usually referred to as a childrens park, since it offers a playground and pony rides. The park is frequented by the locals, who enjoy taking walks here, apart from visiting Cuba Cafe that is located on the site.

If you are tired of the noise and stress of the city and fancy a bit of fresh air and tranquility, you can be out of town in leafy Dyrehaven park in less than 15 minutes. The park is great for walking, cycling and riding and is accessible at all times of the year (during the winter you can also ski). Amager Bakke is a modern day, hybrid waste-to-energy plant located in Copenhagen. Also known as Copenhill, it derives the name from the design, which resembles a mountain slope. This gigantic structure is wrapped in a sheet of steel blocks, in a checkered pattern, making it an eye-catching piece of architecture. The towering chimney is another highlight of the structure, designed to create a vapor ring rather than a cloud of smoke. This futuristic waste management plant not only generates energy from waste processing, but also doubles up as a year-round ski slope, hiking trail and 83 feet (meter) tall climbing wall. Tourists can rent skiing gear and glide their way down the green silicone matting, enjoying the thrill and the view it has to offer. With a restaurant and bar at the top and a cafe at the foot of the building, visitors can enjoy a little breakfast or a celebratory drink after a successful ski session.

Right in front of the entrance of Fredericksberg Gardens, the Frederiksberg Runddel is a charming space. Surrounded by historical landmarks, the space belies its name and is not exactly round shaped. The Storm P. Museum and the Royal Danish Horticultural Society's Garden envelop this plaza.
