"From Mountains to the Sea"
One of only two forests in the continental United States to border the Pacific Ocean, Siuslaw National Forest offers visitors the rare chance to witness the power of the sea and the tranquility of the mountains in the same context. Comprising a beautiful terrain of rolling dunes, coastal woodlands, and little rivulets and streams, the forest is home to a variety of flora and fauna. Due to its proximity to the magnificent ocean, the weather in this 634,207-acre (2,56,654 hectares) forest can change rapidly.
