Linn County Historical Museum

Founded in 1962, the Linn County Museum is located in the historic town of Brownsville, Oregon. Locally known as the Brownsville Historic Pioneer Museum, the Museum highlights exhibiting the lives and culture of Native Americans and pioneer settlers of Linn County, Oregon. Interestingly, the Museum features several priceless artifacts and well-preserved exhibits displayed in Brownsville’s original railroad depot and six Southern Pacific railroad cars. Visitors are often excited to see the original covered wagon in a vintage form.

William L. Finley National Wildlife Refuge

The William L. Finley National Wildlife Refuge is a natural refuge located in Oregon's Williamette Valley. Established in 1964 to provide a natural habitat for dusky Canada geese, the refuge has now become home to over 200 species of birds and rare species of animals like western pond turtles and Roosevelt elk. A network of trails around the sanctuary allow visitors to explore its great expanses and observe the vibrant flora and fauna in their natural habitats. Apart from wildlife watching, you can also try your hand at fishing in the little ponds and capturing the park's beauty in the lens.

Siuslaw National Forest

One of only two forests in the continental United States to border the Pacific Ocean, Siuslaw National Forest offers visitors the rare chance to witness the power of the sea and the tranquility of the mountains in the same context. Comprising a beautiful terrain of rolling dunes, coastal woodlands, and little rivulets and streams, the forest is home to a variety of flora and fauna. Due to its proximity to the magnificent ocean, the weather in this 634,207-acre (2,56,654 hectares) forest can change rapidly. Hiking, camping, and other activities are available in the three wilderness areas within its borders: Rock Creek, Cummins Creek, and Drift Creek.

Block 15 Brewery & Tap Room

Children's Farm Home School

Previously a school building, the Children's Farm Home School was built in 1925 as a house for orphaned children and a school was also run on the premises, along with other facilities such as a dairy, cannery and farms. Funds were collected by selling off this produce. The Georgian Revival structure stayed abandoned for several years after being shut down in the 1980s. Now home to Trillium Family Services, the center features a family center, conference facilities, a restaurant as well as a museum.

Soap Creek Schoolhouse

The Soap Creek Schoolhouse is a perfect example of the one room schools that were prevalent in the bygone centuries. Dating back to 1935, this historical edifice was included in the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.
