Museu da Imagem e do Som

Established in 2006, Museu da Imagem e do Som is an attempt to tell the story of Cuiabá's history through the mediums of visuals and sounds. The museum displays photographs and audio records that date as far back as 1910, painting a picture of daily life through the ages. There are almost 33,000 photographs in the collection, and the audio section includes vinyl records, tapes and more. The museum also hosts various exhibitions, workshops and photography courses.
