Igreja de Nossa Senhora do Rosário e São Benedito

Built in the 18th Century, Igreja de Nossa Senhora do Rosário e São Benedito is one of the oldest churches in the city. The regal church building features early colonial architecture, rarely seen on other historic structures in the city. Though the building has undergone numerous renovations and changes over the years, the stellar historical elements inside have been well preserved. The church is host to Festa de Sao Benedito, one of the city's most important religious events.
