"Store Room of Great Shows"
Constructed in 1874, Teatro Paiol started out as a storeroom for the Brazilian Army's ammunition. The state then converted the structure into a cultural space in 1971. Although the original facade of the building was retained, the interiors were modernized making way for sophisticated technical support and acoustics. Renovated under the guidance of architect Abram Assad, the facility features an auditorium that seats 225 spectators. Located conveniently in Prado Velho neighborhood, Teatro Paiol hosts brilliant performances and shows all year round.
