Rua 24 Horas

The intricately designed entrance-way of Rua 24 Horas, may make make you feel like you are entering a mall, but don't be misled as this is the gateway to one of the most popular shopping districts in Brazil. Rua 24 Horas was originally established in 1991, it was neglected and fell into a state of disrepair and reopened in 2011. The street stretches for 120 meters (393.7 feet), and is home to more than ten stores and restaurants. This covered street features two clocks at the access, signifying 24 hours of the day. The place was designed by Simone Soares, Abrão Assad and Célia Bim; renowned local architects.
