Pedreira Paulo Leminski, named after Paulo Leminski, the Brazilian writer, is a premier sports and cultural venue located within Parque das Quarries. Situated amid a beautiful wooded area that includes ponds, waterfalls and other scenic natural structures, the arena boasts of a seating capacity of about 20,000 spectators. Featuring an outdoor stage that is often used for concerts and major events as well as a separate cultural space that mainly hosts literary events, Pedreira Paulo Leminski is always buzzing with activity.

Located in the Centro district of Curitiba, Teatro Guaíra is a major cultural facility maintained by the state. Boasting of one of the largest concert halls in South America, the theater showcases brilliant orchestras, ballets and other performances throughout the year. The facility features three individual auditoriums of different capacities. It is also home to prestigious organizations like Ballet Teatro Guaira and Paraná Symphony Orchestra.

The Teatro de Bonecos Dr. Botica keeps the art form of puppetry alive. This theater, located in the Shopping Estação, was established in 2001. The Wire Opera House or Ópera de Arame in neighborhood of Pilarzinho is one of the most beautiful structures in the city. Designed by ace architect Dominic Bongestabs, the opera house is built almost entirely out of polycarbonate over steel, making it a completely see-through building. Overlooking an emerald pond and the surrounding woods, it looks like something right out of a fairytale. Built in 1992, the place seats a total of 2400 people.

Centro Histórico de Curitiba or historic downtown, also called Setor Histórico de Curitiba, is a group of historic buildings located in the neighborhood of São Francisco. Culturally noteworthy, the area used to be the primary meeting place of the community during the city's formative years. Some of the oldest structures in the city like the Igreja da Ordem, a church built in 1737, and Catedral Basílica Menor Nossa Senhora da Luz, built in late 1600s, contribute to its significance. Centro Histórico has also been home to the famous Sunday fair, Feira do Largo da Ordem since 1973.
