"Historic Building"

The Hall of State is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the state of Texas. It was built in the year 1936 in the Beaux Arts style of architecture by the architect Donal Barthelme. Known to be one of Texa's most expensive constructed structure at a price of 1.2 million dollars, it has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places as well as the Recorded Texas Historic Landmark. The building is under the ownership of the Dallas Historical Society.
