Fair Park

This historic site sprawls over 227 acres (918,636 square meters) and has one of the nation's largest collections of Art Deco buildings. Built in 1936, Fair Park is registered as a National Historic Landmark. It was built by the WPA to house the Texas Centennial Exposition, celebrating Texas' independence from Mexico. It boasts an inspiring list of museums including the African American Museum, Age of Steam Railroad Museum, Museum of Nature and Science, Music Hall At Fair Park, Dallas Aquarium and Dallas Horticulture Center. You will also find concerts at the outdoor Coca Cola Starplex, college football in the Cotton Bowl, and the annual State Fair of Texas. The Visitor Center shows a 10-minute film about the park and offers walking tours by appointment.

Dallas Arts District

One of the largest urban cultural districts nationwide, the Dallas Arts District is home to numerous performing and visual arts venues. Visitors will marvel at unique masterpieces on display in the district's museums and galleries. World-class culture abounds with ongoing art, music, drama and dance performances. The 17-block area also includes the Dallas Theater Center and the Cathedral Santuario de Guadalupe.

Globe Life Park

Opened in 1994, this beautiful ballpark is home to the American League's Texas Rangers. Located in Arlington, in a 270-acre (109-hectare) complex, the ballpark offers several modern features while visitors will also notice the homage to Texan history lining its walls. Fans of baseball will enjoy catching a game here. Few things beat watching a baseball game and enjoying a hot dog from the concession area.

AT&T Stadium

Nicknamed JerryWorld as an ode to Jerry Jones, the owner of Dallas Cowboys, AT&T Stadium is among the premier football arenas in the nation. This state-of-the-art stadium with its striking dome and the retractable roof is a popular landmark in the city. Besides being the turf of Dallas Cowboys, it is also the base of Cotton Bowl Classic. It hosts almost all of the major NFL and college football matches as well as wrestling and basketball games. It is also a popular choice for concerts and has had artists such as Jonas Brothers, Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran and Beyoncé performing to a full house.
