From 1745, Franz Andrä Freiherr von Sternbach had the Baroque castle Gayenhofen built in place of the dilapidated medieval castle. For a long time, it served as the bailiff's residence. In 1936 the city of Bludenz bought the building from the Sternbach family. In 1963, the district administration Bludenz - the Austrian counterpart to the German district office - moved into the castle. Take a look at the pink castle, it stands next to the Laurentiuskirche and is, therefore, a Bludenz landmark.
