When most hear about Northern Indian cuisine, the taste of the Tandoor oven comes to mind. And when the name of a restaurant mentions Bombay, you know the clay oven reigns supreme. From quail to lobster and everything in-between, Ontario diners consider these Tandoori specialties to be some of the best in town. However, vegetarians should not worry since most of the items on the menu still respect the Hindu doctrine of Ahimsa, or non-violence to animals for those who don't eat meat. In fact, the menu has a special section for followers of Jainism which follows strict vegetarian principles. Overall, one of the best places to find authentic Northern specialties that will please everyone in your party.

For instance, the menu still has the original Margherita and Bianca, but the Americana with herbed burrata or the unusual, but delicious Great Pumpkin Pizza really make this place unique.

In the last year of WWII, this mom-and-pop restaurant began as a stand that sold French Dip sandwiches and orange juice. As the story goes, one of Grandma's boys was inadvertently eating spaghetti in front of one the customers. The spaghetti wasn't on the menu, however the Cuccia family did not want to refuse a guest so they decided to serve this 'first' customer a bowl and voila! Grandma subsequently transformed her recipes into what became Vince's Spaghetti today. There are three locations, and to honor their founders, the restaurants still serve the French Dip, but most come for the delicious spaghetti and mostaccioli.
