Cathedral Church of the Advent is one of the largest Episcopal churches in the country. A significant congregation in the Episcopal Diocese of Alabama, its establishment dates back to the foundation of the city in 1872. The structure exemplifies opulent Gothic architecture replete with a sandstone facade, bell tower of fifteen bells and stained-glass panels. Birmingham's Railroad Park is a 19 acre (7.68 hectare) park that was created in 2010. The park has water features, trails, and lots of grassy areas for playing and picnicking.
