Originally the ten feet shoe shop at the backyard, from where it's name evolved is the Shoe Shop-Doucette Ten Footer. This structure that came into existence in the 18th and 19th centuries and that served as a shoemakers shop then, currently stands still as a Stoneham Historical Society. Featuring some beautiful artifacts, documents, newspapers, and lots of photographs that relates to the past of Stoneham, the society also conducts meeting once a week during March to November. The meetings can be attended by the visitors too. Guest speakers also conduct a meeting and the museum is open to the public, even on special requests.
The St. Nicholas Orthodox Church is a mesmerizing structure with a mix of various architectural styles. However, the most prominent ones include the Late 19th And 20th Century Revivals and Classical Revival styles. The church was established in 1901 by the people who had immigrated from Galicia. The congregation is functional even today and keeps hosting regular masses and other religious ceremonies. It became a part of the National Register of Historic Places due its architectural and historical significance.
The distinguished home site of Phineas Upham House occupies immense historical significance. It is a monumental house and is located at the Upham Street in Melrose city of the U.S. State of Massachusetts. The house site stands listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It brilliantly signifies the Colonial style of architecture. The ancient house was constructed in 1703 and is well-known for being the archetypal Colonial-period saltbox house.
Located on Margin Street, US Post Office-Salem Main was built in 1932. Inspired by the Colonial Revival style of architecture it also features motifs inspired by the Art Deco and Art Nouveau styles. Designed by architects Hadley Smith and Robert Walker, the beautiful structure was added to the US National Register of Historic Places in 1986.
