Yalla Yalla is somewhat of a novelty in London since it serves Beirut Street food in the heart of the hip West End. Tucked in the back street of red light district Soho, Yalla Yalla is a funky hang-out, brimming with character and serving great food with Middle-Eastern origins. The mezze dishes are faultless, like the garlic humus, crisp fattoush salad, spicy sujuk sausages, halloumi and shish taouks; you name it, they're all delicious. You can order take-away, but if you're visiting for the first time and there is room, eat in and soak up the atmosphere.
Honest Burgers serves fabulously tasty burgers at fantastic prices. This is the USP of this venue. The burgers come in vegetable, chicken and beef varieties and are made in a way that ensures the chewiness of the meat and the fluidity of the cheese. The vegetarian burger is crisp and tasty, however the Honest Beef Burger is what pulls the crowd. It is made using meat from Ginger Pig, onions and cucumbers, just right to serve as a midday snack. The meal is accompanied by chips. The buns are available sans gluten too.
Bi Bim Bap Soho is named after the famous signature Korean dish 'Bibimbap', which after literal translation means mixed rice and is served with beef, egg and other additions. Bi Bim Bap truly lives up to the standard set by its name. Apart from offering ten different options of Bibimbap, salads, noodles and other rice dishes are also on offer. Pair your meal with your choice of Korean beer or Korean teas like ginseng, green, root etc. Have a Korean time!
Princi is the most elegant snack bar in Soho. Of course, it has to be stylish. Not only is it Italian, but its place of origin is none other than Milan. The sophisticated decor is beautifully offset with a delightful water feature that runs the course of the room. And not surprisingly all the trappings of a typical Italian cafe or pizzeria are on display; pasta, salad and of course slabs of pizza. The pizzas are made on-site in a stone-baked oven, though the downside is they are left out and not always as fresh as they might be. Unless you get your timing right for pizza, the baguettes are a safer option. Not to mention the mouth-watering cakes.
Bánh Mì Bay, which means Vietnamese bread, is a small neighborhood eatery that you can affectionately call home. Don't forget to try their Vietnamese baguettes, the bread of which is prepared in the cafe premises completely from scratch and filled with hot or cold sumptuous fillings like meat, vegetables and sauces. A range of other authentic Vietnamese dishes like Banh Canh noodles, Spring rolls, Chargrilled meats and a lot more on offer. Pair your homemade meal with a glass of wine, soft drink or a hot beverage. The restaurant is available for booking for a private celebration of fifty guests.
