Traansvaal Museum is a natural science museum houses the finest selection of mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians and insects as well as displays of fossils, and pre-historic human and geological findings. Near to several major archaeological dig sites, this area holds a wealth of artifacts to peruse. The museum hosts field trips where visitors get to touch some of the exhibits. Die Kosten beliefen sich auf GBP1.180.000. Die Ost- und Westseite repräsentieren jeweils die Sprachen Englisch bzw. Afrikaans. Das Delville Wood War Memorial wurde hier errichtet, das den südafrikanischen Truppen Tribut zollt, die im Ersten Weltkrieg ums Leben kamen. Gäste haben keinen Zutritt zum Gebäude, doch die Umgebung samt ihrer wunderschönen Gärten darf gerne erkundet werden.

This massive granite building was built as a national shrine to commemorate the heroes of the epic Great Trek of the late 18th and early 19th Centuries. The four walls of the Hall of Heroes, which is the main body of the building, are decorated with an Italian frieze depicting the history of the Great Trek in 1838, when Afrikaaners left Cape Town for the hinterland. One of the most interesting features of the monument is the 260-step stairway which leads to the dome, and the spectacular view it offers of the city.

Situated close to the Mpumalanga Province, this tribal village is definitely worth a trip. Not only will you get to see and buy fascinating art works, you also get to learn about the way of life of the Ndebele people. All of the artworks in the village are hand-made and beautifully painted with vibrant African colors. Items for sale range from spears and shields, to African clay pots and accessories. A common field trip for local children, it is an interesting outing for individuals of all ages.
