For more than 15 seasons, the Florida Repertory Theater has provided on-stage entertainment to the people of Southwest Florida in a beautiful old vaudeville theater. The complex is actually comprised of two different centers, the Historic Arcade Theater and the newer ArtStage Studio Theater. The former presents original features from when it was built in 1915 and the latter highlights a smaller, more modern space better suited for intimate pieces. The plays and different acts vary from comedy to classical - check calendar for showtimes.
Look for the yellow and green dinosaur next to the water tower and you'll know you have found the Imaginarium, a hands-on science museum for kids of all ages. Try your hand at being a weatherman, excavate a T-Rex in the "dig pit" or chart a course on a boat. The simple explanations make learning fun and easy to understand. There is even a living coral reef and alligator lagoon.
One of the most popular destinations for mini-golf in all of Southwest Florida, Smuggler's Cove provides action where kids and adults chip and put their way through caves, waterfalls, pirate ships and other bizarre, but fun obstacles. Probably the most popular obstacle is chipping over live alligators, in fact, in addition to golf, visitors can also feed these beautiful animals. Definitely a great way to spend the day, either on the course or just watching the more than 30 alligators lounge around.
