Since 1970, this independent theater has showcased films, plays and other performance art to the people of Hartford. Founded by a group of Trinity College students, it functions as a cooperative where the students star, direct and write all of the scripts. Seven days a week, visitors can see original content as well as vintage films and cult classics. It's location on the Trinity College campus is also convenient for both students as well as guests.
Captain Charles Leonard House is a well know landmark of Agawam Massachusetts. The two-floor, white edifice was built as a tavern in 1805 by Charles Leonard. In 1975, the Leonard House was added to the National Register of Historic Places. The Captain Charles Leonard House is available for hosting meetings, conferences, weddings and other events.
Located in Bristol, Connecticut, this museum is dedicated to promoting and preserving the history of Bristol. Maintained by the Bristol Historical Society, it collects preserves and displays significant historical resources. It is located in a former high school which was Bristol’s first high school. The building was built in the year 1894 and there were additions made in the year 1910. It is a Victorian building made of brick, featuring the Richardsonian Romanesque style of architecture.
Designed by architect Robert Hill, the historic opera house was built in the year 1884, and has served as a cultural center for the residents of Thomaston. Till the year 1930, it was a popular venue for theatrical performances and social events and was later converted into a movie house (the Paramount theater). Over the past century, it closed and reopened several times, until recently in 2011 it reopened as a Live Concert Venue and Outdoor theater.
