The whole “factory” look of Shree Carpet & Textile Mahal can be misleading at times. Unknown to many, this hidden gem also deals in retail sale of carpets manufactured here as well as imported from states all over the country; Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi to name a few. As soon as you step past the huge white gates, you’d notice a bunch of weavers transforming raw materials into masterpieces. Moving a little further, you will be led to a space, where you can browse through their collection. Shree hardly has a shopper friendly environment to boast about, but this is intentional. And although you can always walk in for a quick look, it is advisable to get a prior appointment as random window shopping is not always well received here.
