Museo Nazionale d'Abruzzo is spread over three floors within Forte Spagmolo. Inaugurated in 1951, the first floor is dedicated to archaeology and they have on display the skeleton of a mammoth which was excavated in 1954. They also have other artifacts dating back to the Italian and Pre Roman period and a Roman Calendar dating back to 25 AD. The first floor is dedicated to pieces of art by great Flemish and Roman artists and they mainly focus on medieval and modern art. The paintings on display dates back to as far as the 13th century and they also have wooden terracotta pieces on display.
The beautiful Santa Maria di Collemaggio church located on the Piazzale Collemaggio. This church boasts of Romanesque and Gothic architectural designs with a touch of the architectural style from Abruzzo region. The church has a distinct design with alternating pink and white stones and dates back to as early as 13th Century. The interiors of Santa Maria di Collemaggio are adorned with artifacts, murals, frescoes and paintings from over the centuries. It includes the frescoes from 14th and 15th Centuries and a 14th Century sculpture of Mother Mary. Due to its beauty and historical architecture, Santa Maria di Collemaggio is one of the major attractions of L’Aquila.
Located in L’Aquila, Santa Maria del Suffragio dates back to 18th Century. This church boasts of Neo-classical and Baroque architectural designs. The present church was built as a replacement to the former church which was destroyed during the earthquake in 1700s. Unfortunately, during the earthquake of April 2009, Santa Maria del Suffragio faced major damages and is considered as one of the major mark of the earthquake.

Die Skistation befindet sich in 165O m Höhe. Vorhanden sind eine Seilbahn, zwei Sesselbahnen, und zehn Schilift- oder Schischlepp-Anlagen für zahlreiche Pisten. Am Terminillo gibt es einen Schi-Übungsring. An diesem renomierten Ort steht den SchifahrerInnen ein Team von 60 Lehrern zur Verfügung. Es gibt eine Bank, Post, Apotheken, Erste Hilfe Station, Schivermietung, Nachtlokale, Kino und Sportartikelgeschäfte.
