Das Heiligtum Mary, Queen of the Universe ist offiziell als Basilika des Nationalheiligtums Mariens, Königin des Universums, bekannt. Diese römisch-katholische Kirche befindet sich in Orlando und war in den 1970er Jahren nur eine Idee, wurde aber in den 1980er und 1990er Jahren Wirklichkeit. Die Kirche wurde ursprünglich gebaut, um die Millionen Katholiken aufzunehmen, die in den Ferien in das Gebiet kommen, und bietet Reisenden einen Ort, an dem sie zwischen prächtigen Statuen, gemeißelten Eingängen und geschmückten Wänden Gottesdienst feiern oder der Messe beiwohnen können. Donnelly House, also known as Mount Dora Masonic Lodge or Lodge No. 38, is a historic home in Mount Dora. Tucked away in the quiet Donnelly Avenue, this Queen Anne-style house was built in 1893 by John P. Donnelly for his wife. Registered on the National Register of Historic Places, the Donnelly House is now a beautiful landmark of the town and forms part of its rich heritage. Now owned by Mount Dora Lodge #238, F&AM, the house can be toured on certain days of the year.
Obwohl Fort Christmas auf einem nur 10 ha großen Gelände liegt, gibt es dem Besucher aktive Erholungsmöglichkeiten und die Gelegenheit, Floridas Geschichte zu erforschen. Weiterhin gibt es einen Spielplatz, einen Stand zum Hufeisenwerfen und Picknickplätze.

Orlando’s first Catholic church, the St. James Catholic Cathedral parish can date it’s beginning to the year 1885. Over the years the church has seen several changes, including changes in location and the building which has undergone significant alterations over the years. The current structure dates back around 50 years to 1952. Notable features include the beautiful Rose window, impressive stone front and the majestic Wicks organ. Sunday Mass is held in three languages, in keeping with the diverse congregation, English, Spanish and Creole. English Mass is held at 7.30am, 9:00am, 10:30am and 5:00pm; Spanish Mass at 12:15pm and Kreole Mass at 6.30pm. Besides this services, prayer meetings and confession takes place at varied timings. This beautiful red-brown building is considered to the the oldest surviving courthouse in the State. The Osceola County Courthouse was established between 1889 to 1890 and is a classic example of the Romanesque style of architecture. Its charming design and valuable past has landed it in the National Register of Historic Places.
The Rogers Building, or the English Club is a historic building in Orlando, Florida. Built around 1886, this eye catching metal framed building was created by architect William H. Mullins in Queen Anne style architecture. The structure was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

A Victorian cottage style house, it is located in Longwood, Florida. It was originally built in Altamonte Springs and later shifted to Longwood. It was built circa 1885 as a residence for architect Nathaniel Jeramiah Bradlee and his family. It is one of the few surviving cottages in the region. It is built in Queen Anne style architecture, consisting of three stories, 13 rooms, an octagonal tower and white exteriors, which were all typical to the Victorian era.
Set along East 2nd Street, Historic Downtown Sanford is a popular place to visit for locals and tourists. This area is scattered with several stores, boutiques, restaurants, coffee shops, gastropubs and breweries. This happening area also features a marina that offers facilities for sailing and fishing. In Historic Downtown Sanford you will also find several spaces which are used to host events like music concerts, theatrical shows and festivals. Take a walk along the streets and you will find several murals that adorn the town’s bricked walls.
Palm Cottage Gardens was the home of legendary horticulturist, Dr. Henry Nehrling who acquired the estate to build a garden where he could research subtropical and tropical plants all through the year. It was the first of the experimental botanical gardens in Florida and was a much visited garden in the 1900s with the likes of Thomas Edison and Theodore Roosevelt visiting it. Today only six acres (2.43 hectares) of the original 60 acres (24.28 hectares) remain which includes the house and gardens. It is now owned and maintained by the Henry Nehrling Society.
