This historic lighthouse built in the 18th century is a remarkable structure with a towering height of 47 feet (14 meters) along with an attached keeper’s den. This beautiful lighthouse located on the northern tip of Conanicut Island was used to guide for smooth sailing of the ships in the region until 1933. Added to the National Register of Historic Places, the lighthouse sits on a private residence with no access for visitors. To get an ideal view of this stunning lighthouse, one must get into the waters via boat. Another common spot to get a distant view from the street – is at the northern end of the island along the main road.
