A one-of-a-kind art space, Irving Street Projects presents a myriad of simply stunning displays by some of the city's most prominent artists. Found here are a number of visually enticing paintings, photographs, and various other artistic installations. This gallery also plays host to a variety of themed exhibitions, and workshops, with exhibits by artists from across the country.
The Fourth Wall Gallery is a thriving contemporary art space in the heart of Uptown Oakland. Established by art connoisseur Susan Aulik, the former head of Board of Directors at Sacramento's Center for Contemporary Art, the exposition venue presents a thriving platform for local and emerging artists. Fourth Wall is also the first gallery to feature celebrated Israeli artist Vered Gersztenkorn's first solo exhibition in the United States.
Located in Downtown Oakland, this historic district was the city center for the city in the late 1800s. Beautiful Victorian buildings were scattered around the district and it was a popular spot until the 1906 San Francisco earthquake. Today, this small area contains restored elegant Victorian buildings, trendy boutiques, and great restaurants.
