To visit Saint Mark's Episcopal Cathedral, you need not necessarily be a religious person. You just need to come with an open mind and reflect on the messages of joy and togetherness, that the church spreads. Events are a regular feature here like Baseball with the Bishops, Summer Movie Series, Ghana Pilgrimage, Garden Work Party and Family Service Project among a few. Through all these events, families come together fulfilling the church's mission. You can also buy small mementos at the local shop located on the campus of the church.
The community of West Seattle centers around this former streetcar crossing at Alaska Street and California Avenue SW, called the 'spine' of West Seattle. The streetcars run no more. Now other cars rule the road, but the intersection itself features the 'Walk All Ways' crossing system, which gives pedestrians a free-for-all moment free from automotive assault. The area boasts famous and award-winning murals, the largest single grouping of murals in Seattle. Long-standing area businesses include Easy Street Records, the Husky Deli, Neilsen Florists and the Classic Barber Shop.
Seattle Washington Temple is a stunning temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) located in Bellevue. It is the 19th active LDS church. It is adorned with a prominent single spire and its height was reduced due to its nearness to Bellevue Airfield. The church's building is a spectacle of grandeur. Besides its regular services, the church also conducts the sacraments of Baptism and Confirmation, as also talks and Bible sessions. Check the website for service timings and more.

This lovely park has been preserved in its natural state, and it has changed very little in the past 100 years. Sitting right on the shores of Lake Washington, this is one of the most beautiful parks in Seattle. Free parking is available. Usage and therefore crowds are lower here than in other Seattle parks. You will feel like you are out in the country rather than in the middle of a bustling city. Enjoy bicycling and walking, and enjoy the trees, birds and small animals that live here.
