Chateau de Ventadour was once a colossal fortress situated in the very heart of the commune of Moustier-Ventadour in France. It was constructed circa 11th Century, and was successively in the possession of several barons and noblemen. Perched atop a hill, this castle dominated the skyline of Moustier-Ventadour. It became non-functional circa late 18th Century. At present, it has been classified as a 'monument historique' by the esteemed French Ministry of Culture.
