Opened in 2001, the Twisted Oak Winery is a family-run winery. Its scenic location and serene surroundings make for a pleasant day trip; the views from the Sierra Foothills are surely worthy of a visit. Twisted Oak offers wines from fine grape varieties like Roussanne, Viognier, Syrah and Tempranillo. The grapes are locally sourced from the nearby vineyards and it offers both red and white wines. And, before going ahead with your wine shopping, you can sample their wines at the on-site tasting room or its other location, namely the Murphys Tasting Room. The Twisted Oak Winery is open to one and all, and even welcomes pets. Occasionally, it also hosts concerts and similar other events that are simply an invite to indulge in good food and wine. With organic apples sourced from their 160-acre (64.7 hectares) orchard, this distillery and cidery offers a wide range of ciders, vodkas and brandy.
