The mission at Exploration Place is to make learning about science fun and interesting for kids and adults alike. Exhibits are creative and interactive, like the Big Mouth, where you can walk up to a huge, anatomically correct replica of the human mouth and learn about teeth, gums and good oral hygiene. A visit to Tanganyika Wildlife Park fulfills the dual goals of an educational and fun-filled outing for the entire family. One can view common, rare and endangered species such as clouded leopards, Purple-capped Lories, Nigerian Dwarf Goats, domestic ferrets, Southern Three-Banded Armadillos and Huachuca Mountain Kingsnakes. Keep an eye out for special events like Pumpkins at the Park, Safari Splashdown and Twilight Hours. This park conducts safari classes and other educational activities for students and scouts. It also runs the Species Survival Fund for wildlife conservation. One can host birthday parties and weddings at this much-loved family park.

This Kansas landmark was established in 1910 by Dr. Walter Bartlett and is spread across 15 acres (6.07 hectares) of private land consisting of gigantic oaks, cypress and Japanese maples among other majestic trees. Now run by Robin Lynn Macy, former Dixie Chick member and founder, Bartlett Arboretum is open only during concerts, weddings and by appointments. You will also find many flowering trees and plants which makes this place even more endearing. Hosting country music festivals and shows, some of the artists who have performed here are Jimmy LaFave and Vanessa Whalen.
Track House is tucked away near the railroad in south Wichita. It is easy to miss this spot as there is no signage nor any advertisement. This part time performance venue hosts experimental music shows occasionally. Chris Schlarb and Francis Moss have performed here in the past.
The winner of a silver medal at the Great American Beer Festival, Central Standard Brewing features a tap room alongside the production unit. Tours are offered at the brewery and post that, you can enjoy the delicious brews at their large tap room or the outdoor patio. Live music performances are held here regularly and they also have food trucks on site for your hunger pangs. Beers are offered on tap as well as in bottles. Some unique brews include Stand Up Tripel, a rich Belgian style beer with oak and spice flavors; Girlfriend, a Kansas wheat specialty brewed with Citra and Amarillo; and Red Cicada, a sour beer with notes of hibiscus, lime, ginger, Kansas salt, and chamomile.
