"Home To the Shamrock Rovers"
Tallaght's premier sports venue, this stadium is the home ground of illustrious Irish football club Shamrock Rovers. Opened in 2009, the stadium garnered much attention the same year for its 'festival of football' matches, of which the most memorable was the one between the home team and the Spanish La Liga football club Real Madrid. It was made even more memorable by the presence of Cristiano Ronaldo who had then just joined the club. Over the years, the stadium has also hosted a number of rugby tournaments, including the 2014 Rugby League European Championship. While the stadium features its share of amenities and facilities, one of the more notable is the Glenmalure Suite, a member-only bar that also hosts after-game Q&A sessions.
