Shelbourne Dublin, A Renaissance Hotel

Established in 1824, the Shelbourne Hotel has become a landmark in the city center. The Irish Free State constitution was drafted here in 1921 and politicians still frequent the Horseshoe Bar on the ground floor. Eat your fill at the beautiful No. 27 Bar & Lounge, Lord Mayor's Lounge and the Saddle Room and other restaurants within the hotel. This hotel has an impeccable style and service you would expect from an exclusive hotel. The Shelbourne offers spacious accommodations with luxurious Egyptian cotton bedding, flat screen TV, laptop-size safe, and marble bathroom.

Number 31

This guesthouse is comprised of two Georgian mews, renovated in the 1960s by architect Sam Stephenson. The rooms are now spread from the mews, via the garden, to the main house in front. Very retro in feel, the rooms in the mews have sunken baths and their 1970s design is intact (very trendy at the moment!). There is a sort of Bohemian feel to the whole place, and it's only a short walk to St. Stephen's Green. There is also a common living-room with sunken seating area and black leather sofas, surrounded by a collection of art work.

Westbury Hotel

Hidden behind a modern front, the Westbury Hotel is furnished with antique trimmings mixed with soft colors, giving the interior an original, stylish feel. The lobby is elegant; the rooms are more utilitarian, yet tasteful. The suites are particularly lovely, and are decorated with Japanese screens and prints. In-house dining options at the Westbury comprise of Wilde, a lovely local-cuisine restaurant, as well as the Balfes Bar & Brasserie. The Sidecar impresses with its stunning cocktail bar-style ambiance, and The Juicery serves a plentiful organic menu.

Conrad Dublin

Opened in 1989, the Conrad is situated opposite the National Concert Hall, adjacent to St Stephen's Green. The décor and furnishings are exactly in keeping with an international class hotel, and its plush furniture adds to the overall ambiance. This hotel has an aura of big business but remains reliable, comfortable and efficient. Alfie Byrne's pub on-site provides a place to unwind and there are also two quality restaurants on the premises.
