Number 31

This guesthouse is comprised of two Georgian mews, renovated in the 1960s by architect Sam Stephenson. The rooms are now spread from the mews, via the garden, to the main house in front. Very retro in feel, the rooms in the mews have sunken baths and their 1970s design is intact (very trendy at the moment!). There is a sort of Bohemian feel to the whole place, and it's only a short walk to St. Stephen's Green. There is also a common living-room with sunken seating area and black leather sofas, surrounded by a collection of art work.

Westbury Hotel

Hidden behind a modern front, the Westbury Hotel is furnished with antique trimmings mixed with soft colors, giving the interior an original, stylish feel. The lobby is elegant; the rooms are more utilitarian, yet tasteful. The suites are particularly lovely, and are decorated with Japanese screens and prints. In-house dining options at the Westbury comprise of Wilde, a lovely local-cuisine restaurant, as well as the Balfes Bar & Brasserie. The Sidecar impresses with its stunning cocktail bar-style ambiance, and The Juicery serves a plentiful organic menu.

The Fitzwilliam Hotel

Slick in design but still very functional, the Fitzwilliam is one of Dublin's most exclusive hotels and has a reputation for employing top of the range 'celebrity' chefs in its Peacock restaurant. Christopher's (the hotel's other restaurant) offers excellent cuisine in a less formal atmosphere and at keener prices. Rooms are clean, well-kept and have a simple luxury to them. A number of the more elegant suites offer great views of Stephen's Green. Staff is keen to help and will ensure a comfortable stay at this hotel.

House Dublin

The Georgian setting of the place adds a lot of character to the House Dublin. The lounge area of the bar is an epitome of an aristocracy. The interior is drenched in red hues with lights adding drama. Comfy sofas and velvet-covered bar stools add a touch of royalty to the place. The bar is a haven for wine lovers, boasting of eclectic labels. In addition, varieties of gin, vodka, whiskey, and rum can also be found on the shelves. The garden seating is perfect for those who wish to have a romantic escape. There is a fireplace to keep the setting warm while flower-scented air complements your date. Quaint, Christmas lights illuminate the garden as evenings set in. They also offer comfortable rooms to guests for an overnight stay.

The Dylan Bar overlooks the restaurant and has a fine selection of cocktails, wines and an outside terrace area. Room service is also available. Trinity College and St Stephens Green are both under one mile from the Dylan Hotel. Dublin Castle and the O2 Arena are less than a 5-minute drive away.
