Old Court House Museum

"Aspects of Natal's Development and Famous Characters"

This museum is on the corner of West and Aliwal, behind the city hall. It has various galleries taking a look back at 'how things were' in the early days of Natal - costumes, buildings, and interactive displays. It also provides an illustration of Zululand and its history. The model of a Zulu warrior is particularly striking. The museum is housed in the building of the old courthouse (1863) and has been declared a National Monument. The shop has an interesting range of old photos.
