For a more intimate chat, take a pew in the cozy snug, The Library. Kays was at the forefront of the real ale revival in the 1970s, so if you enjoy a traditional tipple there is a good selection to sample from. As a chaser, try one of the many whiskeys on display, a dram of the Adelphi distillery cask single malt is a revelation. Soak up the liquid with a good value lunch-time bar meal, from the varied menu. Check out the resident oddity, a model that when you insert five pence comes alive and mimics a drunkard's dream.
