Richard H. Schmidt Museum of Natural History

The Richard H. Schmidt Museum of Natural History is located on the campus of Emporia State University. Founded by Richard H. Schmidt, a biologist and taxidermist, the museum has on display taxidermy mounts of birds, mammals, reptiles and fishes found in different parts of Kansas State. The museum is a great place for someone, wanting to learn the identification of different types of birds and other species of wildlife. Researchers will just love this place, as here they will get an opportunity to explore from a variety of collection, which includes thousands of bird skins, mammal skins, fish specimens, and an egg collection with 150 bird species.
