This charming building was once the Connewitzer Wannebad, where Southern Leipzig residents used to bathe, but today it's a comfortable restaurant offering pleasant outdoor seating in summertime. The cuisine is by no means exquisite and there's only the standard choice of drinks, but it is unique architecturally and well worth a visit for this reason. The customers come mainly from the local area to enjoy a small Pils or a glass of wine on the lovely terrace. Whether you're 20, 40 or 60 years old you can get a good view from here of the comings and goings at the renowned Connewitzer Kreuz.
This trendy little bistro is like a canteen for the people who work at Werk II, a culturally happening place at Connewitzer Kreuz. As a result, artists, musicians, craftsmen and trendy people who live in the area come here day and night for the good food at fair prices, which seems the staple here. The fresh salads and savoury flans (Aufläufe) are highly recommended and the waiters and waitresses, who are mostly students, deal with any special requests in a pleasant and friendly manner. It's wonderful to sit on seats outside under the metal roof in summer so that even if there's a summer storm then you're protected and have the light of the lamps, or else you can take refuge inside, where it's maybe darker but more comfortable.
The Bowling Pub Bikers Inn is the ideal destination for bowling and good food. The place has a bowling alley, not anything fancy, but pretty neat and nice. Enjoy a game of pins with other participants in the arena or simply go off by yourself. Once you are done, head downstairs and enjoy a nice and cozy meal of traditional German food at the eatery. The ambiance of this place is very nice, rustic, and very biker chic.
The Eventpalast or Volkspalast Leipzig is an ultra hip, lavishly decorated venue that hosts rock concerts, club nights, and extravagent parties. Featuring multiple fully-stocked bars, different levels and rooms, and glamorous lighting techniques, guests will feel the chic allure all around them. Check website for complete list of events.
