Spanning 58 acres (23 hectares), the Oak Canyon Nature Center is a beautiful oasis of nature in the city. The sanctuary, flanked by three canyons is home to a diverse array of animal and bird species. Well-marked hiking trails offer a great opportunity to discover the park's many wonders. Stop by at the John J. Collier Interpretive Center to learn more about the natural features and history of the place.
This beautiful park is more than a mile long and rests on 175 lush acres of land. With more than 400 picnic tables, this park is ideal for a family outing. There are four lakes with connecting streams for fishing and sailing model boats. There are plenty of pedestrian and biking trails for the more active visitors. For children, there are many sets of play equipment like slides and jungle gyms. This place opens daily at 7 am.

Anaheim ICE formerly known as Disney Ice is an indoor ice rink complex. This public skating rick, hosts skating events like figure skating and youth hockey games besides being the practice and training rink of the Anaheim Ducks of the National Hockey League. Anaheim Ice also offers sessions for public skating, freestyle and pick-up hockey. They also offer learn to skate classes, various hockey programs and birthday packages.

For 45 years, Disneyland Park was the only theme park at this site, and is the better known of the two amusement parks at Disneyland Resort. While the original Disneyland is about rides and fun Disney characters, the Disney California Adventure, built-in 2001, recreates the popular sights of California. Disneyland Resort also houses three resort hotels and the famous entertainment, dining and shopping district known as Downtown Disney. The hours of operation vary for the two theme parks, restaurants and shops. One-day passes are available, but the three or five-day passes are recommended for what is sure to be an experience of a lifetime.
One area in Anaheim where you can find a different type of entertainment other than Disney is the Anaheim Garden Walk. Located right behind Disneyland across Harbor Boulevard, the complex provides dining and shopping. Most of the restaurants are well-known ones, like Roy's, Cheesecake Factory, California Pizza Kitchen and Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. Entertainment includes a Bowlmor Lanes bowling alley and the interesting U.F.O. Experience exhibition. Additionally, most of the shops are nationally known as well, from Skechers to Sunglass Hut, the selection is small but sufficient enough to merit a stroll through the center.
