Founded in 1993, the Waverly Street Gallery has since been a veteran organization that promotes and exhibits both traditional and contemporary art. The gallery collaborates with a range of international artists and local talent to host regular exhibitions across genres of painting, sculpture, photography and pottery. Emerging artists are showcased through their exhibitions every second Friday of the month, which is also when the Bethesda Art Walk commences. In the past, the gallery has worked with artists such as Kate Radi, Pat Silbert, Sandra Zacharia and Kanika Sircar, among several others.

Soldiers always exhibit immense strength and valor, and every nation always ensures that they are given their due respect. United States is no exception to this and hence it has established the Tomb of the Unknowns within the Arlington National Cemetery. It is in the memory of the servicemen who died in the World Wars and could not be identified. Also the highest military honor conferred by the government 'Medal of Honor', was awarded to these soldiers. The tomb has such a great significance that being a Tomb Guard is considered to be a great honor and very few manage to pass through the training. It truly pays a tribute to the gallantry and courage displayed by the soldiers. It opens for the public everyday at 8 a.m.
Wolf Trap's Filene Center is located at America's National Park for the Performing Arts. This outdoor venue offers performances in every genre of the performing arts as well as educational programs, master classes, special events, and holiday activities for families. The Filene Center opened in 1971. Half of the seating (roughly 4,000) is under cover with open sides while the rest of the seating is on a sloping lawn, perfect for picnics.
