The Lowenzorn used to have a sign with 'Europe's best brawn' written on it. The sign has gone, but the good wholesome food remains. The restaurant is still known as the 'historical student beer pub' and not without a good reason. The beer certainly flows when the students are around. The bar has a rustic feel, and is decorated with 'Shrove Tuesday' motifs. The garden is peaceful, with a nice atmosphere. In the summer, the large grill is used, and a whole range of meat specialties are added to the menu.

One of the best clubs in town, Club 59 has been a nightlife hangout since 1959. This bar, lounge and club is a trendy space to unwind or party hard during the weekends.
