Decked out in simple bamboo furnishings and filled with old-school artwork, Dayu's is a warm. welcoming place with an equally simple menu of fresh seafood, Indonesian stir fries and a small selection of pasta and sizzling hot plates. The prices are among the cheapest in town and the service is incredibly speedy and efficient by Indonesian standards. Lunchtime specials of soup, salad and main course are unbeatable value and there are one or two delicious surprises on the dessert list, such as authentic pecan pie and Balinese black rice pudding. Babi Guling Slingsing literally means pork roast, and, as the name suggests, the local eatery offers a small but delectable selection of barbecued meats that are done up in traditional Indonesian style. For a great price, the restaurant offers a great treat.

Soups, stews and fried fish concoctions in spicy sauces fill the place with a heady, yet appetizing aroma. Noted patrons include the late Indonesian President Achmad Sukamo, among others. With a beachfront location and killer prices, the place is, understandably, a crammed hotspot at meal-times.
