Buck and Breck re-affirms the old saying that good things do come in small packages - the place can accommodate around 14 guests and seating is around a square bar. The bar does not permit standing. The dimly interiors are bathed in elegance and renders a slightly exclusive vibe to the place. Since October 1998, Reingold has been among the popular bars that the stylish people of Berlin head to for cocktails and oysters. Having rung the doorbell, the brass door opens to reveal a classy art-deco bar, strongly reminiscent of the 20's and 30's. The elegant, dark leather seats contrast starkly with the pristine white shirts of the bar staff. Practically every drink imaginable is available here, while those who fancy a light snack also have plenty of choices, including olives, capers, and of course, fresh oysters.

This bar is not named after the famous English physicist, but after the Berlin-born photographer Helmut Newton, whose famous black and white shot of a group of nude women decorates the wall. Berlin is quite casual by nature but the presence of Becketts Kopf gives the city a much deserved edge of sophistication. The place proudly reserves the right to admission - the protocol is to first ring a doorbell, which prompts the staff to look through the peep hole, check you out and then decide whether they would like you to come inside. It is a bit eccentric but this is one of the few things that makes the bar stand out. On the inside the lights are dimly lit, the music is soothing and the ambiance is very romantic. The bartenders here are polite and experts at their craft. The cocktail menu is extensive and some of the best mixed drinks in Berlin are found here. If you are unable to decide which drink suits your taste you can always ask the bartender to make you his favorite drink. Becketts Kopf is one of those rare bars where you can bring a date or friends but you can also enjoy a great drink in peaceful solitude.

This is a place to take friends and coworkers, but if you are alone, the polite bartender will inevitably strike up a conversation with you. Their menu is beautiful poetry in motion, like little love stories being told through delicious mixed drinks.
