Want options? Mudgie's Deli has them. This neighborhood deli, set in a 19th-century building, specializes in customization. A sandwich, for example, can be put on anything from sourdough rye to lavash. And that's just the beginning. Choices of cheese range from Parmesan to Harvarti, and condiments for it can be anything from yellow mustard to wasabi mayo. Salads can be customized with anything, from bacon to eggs, and seemingly everything in between. There's a soup of the day, ranging from bean to clam chowder. But it's not just the customization that brings people back, it's the unique touches, like their creative sandwich combos and serving Mexican Coca-Cola, that does the trick.

Eataliana Homemade Pasta is a cozy establishment with an intimate setting and limited seating however they do offer takeout. If you love authentic Italian food, this place should not be missed.

One of the more prominent food trucks to do the rounds of Detroit, Hero Or Villain specializes in Deli-style preparations. Known for handmade sandwiches, the menu takes after their name which is why it is divided into two sections, Heroes and Villains. Their items on offer are named after popular comic and video game characters, some of them being good guys while the rest are either anti-heroes or badass villains. Specialties include Thor, Mario, Deathstroke, and Carnage. Their routes are predetermined and are displayed on their website.
