This outlet of Milady's is part of a chain of fashion stores found throughout the country. They have targeted casual clothes, for the everyday woman, and designed for a busy lifestyle, with longevity in mind. The clothing is not designer or high fashion, and the prices are far more reasonable than the select boutiques. Clothing is non-fussy to executive and aimed at the woman 25 years and up.

It is a small shop on the lower level of the Musgrave Centre and is filled to overflowing with a wonderful assortment of rich and aromatic foodstuffs. There are spices, pickles, dried fruit and nuts, toasted marshmellows, fresh rotis, Indian sweetmeats, snacks, and Indonesian, Thai and Chinese imports. They also stock a modest range of Indian cooking ware. You are unlikely to leave this shop without being tempted to try something.
This family-run shop is situated about 30km from the center of Durban on the old road to Pietermaritzberg. Fred and Rona Cason specialize in stained glass, hot glass, ceramics and wrought iron, with the emphasis on light-fittings. That said, the shop also stocks candles, gifts, hammocks and other bits and pieces for the home. The stained glass lampshades are quite magnificent, and definitely worth the drive out if that is what you're looking for.
Continental Bakery is located on the busy Stamford Hill Road. It carries a range of delicious breads, cakes, muffins and other confectioneries. It also sells fresh pop-corn, sweets and cigarettes. An odd mix of produce, but one which makes this store a busy, hub of the local community, where people go to shop, but also meet friends and neighbors. Scattered along most of the Marine Parade, are small stalls run by local tradesmen and women selling a variety of goods. Centered mostly on tourism, the stalls tend to sell African curios, arts and crafts. There are clothing items, knick-knacks, small sculptures, jewelery, and other quaint odds and ends. In addition, one or two stalls sell more commercial items such as sun-glasses, caps, sunscreen and edibles. The stalls are there 7 days a week.
The African Antiques Gallery is tucked away in the Beverly Hills Shopping Centre in Umhlanga. The gallery sells an interesting collection of paintings, hand-blown glass and sculptures. This is an excellent place to buy top quality works by prominent South African artists. It contains artifacts depicting the dying traditions and customs of ancient Central Africa including 'life-sized' bronzes and wooden sculpture, masks, pygmy furniture, weapons and other memorabilia. The gallery will arrange transport to and from your hotel.
